This weekend has had it’s ups and downs. Saturday was not so great for me but as the weekend went on things got better. There was more light at the end of the tunnel. I got to go to church on the internet with Chris. It was different since we were just sitting in the basement and there wasn’t anyone with us. But it was a really good message and we got to talk all the way through it. At least at home I won’t forget my coffee in the car! Sunday was a great day but long day. We got up at 7:30 and went to church, (actual church) and then got lunch and headed up to T-town to visit my family. My cousin Courtney opened up her house to have everyone there. Her house is so cute and just perfect for her and her friend Melissa to live there. She has a huge back yard. It was big enough for us to have a family game of wiffle ball. Things got a little crazy with that but it was fun to watch. I didn’t participate because I have been have pain in my legs since I got my tenus booster which is a kind of allergic reaction to it. Not bad enough however for me to not get it again in 10 years (darn it!) But it was good. We were left there at 10pm at night so we didn’t make it back home till after 1 in the morning. We had a great drive and some really good conversation. We worked a lot of Saturday’s disappointsments out. Of course he reminded me of all the good thing that are yet to come out of minor set backs. Also a really good conversation about where God is going with our family. We made some very import decisions about our family and what is best for us. However we aren’t making them public decisions just yet because we don’t feel that it is time for us to do so but when it is we will let you all know. Today, Labor Day, the kids slept in till 11am since they didn’t get to bed till late even though they did sleep in the car. We got up ate breakfast, took showers, and headed out to Carter’s. They were suppose to be having a 3.99 clearance sale but we only found things that were 50-70 percent off which was still to our advantage. Ephriam got 2 complete outfits along with 2 pairs of PJ’s and a jacket. Kendra only got a pair of PJ’s since she got so much for her birthday. Then we came home and napped and then had Chris’ mom and dad over for dinner and Mark came over around 8 to hang out. It has been a great to see them and hear about Chris’ parents visit to his Aunt Suzie and Mark’s adventure with with Megan. Tomorrow we are back to a “normal” week but we have upcoming events that we are looking forward too. The kids get to take a trip with our playgroup to the firehouse on the 19th, on the 20th I have a conference for work, of course there is Saturday Notre Dame football, and a possible trip to TN to see my parents. Well I should get some rest so that I can take care of the kids tomorrow but I am hoping to get a blog in for the kids. God is Good.
