My Husband had his last birthday in his 20’s this year on the 21st of Feb. (Again I know I am behind). I hope that he had a good one and from my point of view I think that the did. On his actual birthday I didn’t make him eat something that he didn’t like but rather let him pick something he liked to eat that was cookable for me on a Thursday night so chicken in the crock pot with noodles was his choice. He did get surprised with brownies for desert and cards from the kids and I. Then I had to head into work so he was left with the kids. So nothing too exciting for him that night.
Friday it snowed and iced so Chris stayed home from work and I tried to keep Chris’ dad off the road so I kept the kids after working all night Thursday night. So I had been up from 8 am Thursday with no sleep. So Friday night was off to bed early.
Saturday we headed off to Sams to pick up some things but ending up picking more then we anticipated. Then to church and back home to prepare for the big party the next day.
Sunday I got up with the kids and got things going for later that day we were having Chris’ family over for a Turkey Fry. Since we had never fried at turkey before Chris’ mom roasted one just in case. The fried turkey turned out great so we had way too much turkey and sent lots of left overs home with everyone. All of our side were like Thanksgiving Day. It was really great though. I totally love having people over and cooking for them.
So it was great weekend all together.
