This weekend was much better. Had a good time hanging out with the kids and getting some stuff done around the house. There was no sick kid in my house all weekend so that was nice.
Friday night we were suppose to have small group but it was just nice to hang out at home since most of our small group had someone sick in their family.
Saturday I got Chris and mine’s bedroom better organized along with at good dusting and sweeping. Something I am hoping to keep up on a weekly bases but we will see. Then when the kids went down for their nap I went out shopping at some thrift stores to see if I could find some good deals on clothes for the kids and I had a lot of luck too! Ephriam got 3 outfits and a pair of jeans for next year and Kendra got 5 dresses. Tried Kendra’s one dress on and it is a bit long but by the end of the summer she will have really grown into it. Plus if the dresses are too big she can wear them for longer if I put a nice shirt under neath them. I was lucky to find some adjustable waist shorts for Ephriam since he is so tall he needs a bigger size. He got a nice white t-shirt and then 2 nice button down shirts and another pair of shorts. Then I came home and we got ready to go to church. I work the nursery again and it was fun. I enjoyed playing with the kids. However after 2 weeks in there I am ready to go to regular church with my husband. I am looking forward to the next session in our series called road trip.
Sunday the kids slept in till 11 which was weird for them but they had breakfast and we all got dressed and headed out to the mall. The kids had been cooped up in the house for several days since they were sick so I thought that it would be nice for them to get out. They played on the indoor play groud for a while and then we walked around for a while and ended up at Outdoor World. The kids got to see the large fish tank and Ephriam touch a stuffed grizzly bear. Kendra wanted nothing to do with it so we headed out and found a deer to look at and she was okay with that. Then we came back home and had a snack before we had dinner with Chris’ parents and brother Mark. We went back to their house for a little while and had a nice visit before we came home and did the bedtime routine.
So I have to say that was better then taking care of sick kids for 3 nights.
This coming weekend will rock since Chris, Mark, and I are going to see Skillet, Thousand Foot Krutch, and Decyfer Down. I am really looking forward to it because I really enjoy seeing Skillet and I don’t think that I have gotten to see TFK at all.
