Today was a better day. Kendra and I spent a lot of time together and you can read that over on the Kid’s blog.
Anyways, I wanted to post my opinion on the Gardasil immunization that is out. This shot only protects girls from cervical cancer that is caused by HPV (human papillomavirus). HPV is only transmitted sexually. Therefore, will I have my daughter vaccinated? NO. Why you ask? You see I do not believe in sex outside of marriage, therefore in order to keep with that I will not give her the vaccine. Once she is 18 and able to make her own health decisions that will be up to her, but as a teenager I feel that since she won’t be having sex there is no need for it. I fully intend to tell her why she will not get it and discuss with her all the consequences for having sex. I hope that I can be a good example to her and that she can come to me and talk when she needs to. So that is where I stand on that.
