Okay so I know that a lot of you have been waiting to hear what is going on with me going to school as I have promised. Well things are well on there way to me starting school on Oct. 1st! I had my entrance interview a while ago and that went wonderful. The admission lady was very pleasant and informative as to what all was going on with there program. The first 44 weeks will be an LPN program where I could then sit for my Practical Nursing Exam. I will sit for that to not only become an LPN in the state of Ohio but to also get practice in for my RN boards. I will then continue on in school for the next 66 weeks I will then be working on my RN. In the first 44 weeks I will be spending time in nursing homes for my clinicals. Not ideally where I want to work but it is a start there. I am actually hoping to stay on Family Birthplace after I get my LPN and continue to work there in the position I am in or to actually work with moms and babies like my friend Tina. We will just see where God puts me to work. I am hoping that the Health Alliance will want to keep me since they will be paying for my school. I would really like to at least stay at Fort Hamilton Hospital in some shape or form. I really like how close it is to home and I have been with them now for almost 5 years so it would be shame for me to have to leave them. I know that God has a plan and place for me and I just know that he is going to get me where I need to be and he may put me at a place where I will love things more. You just never know. So while I work as an LPN I will be going to school getting my RN.

Now I know that some of you are asking where my children are going to be while I am doing this. As most of you know my father in law keeps the kids in the morning till I get off work and then I bring Kendra home with me, she eats and then takes a nice nap till we go get Ephriam at noon. Have lunch and go back to sleep. Now on a good day I will get about 5 hours of sleep and sometimes work back to back 12’s. Well things are working out nicely that he is also now working for my brother in law Eric for his Catholic book store and they are opening one in town and he will be working more there. Hopefully if everything works out nice Ephriam and Kendra will be going to lady who does daycare at her house that lives around the corner from us. She used to work with Chris’ mom and lives next door to Chris’ Godmother. We have met her and the kids were really liked her. So as long as she has the spots in the fall they will go.  So I am excited about just have the opportunity to be going to school. I hope that things work out well for now… bed. Nite!

Does it ever slow down?

Okay so we had another crazy weekend. I thought that things would be slower and a little less hectic but no. Friday night was suppose to be a nice night at home but we ended up spending it down at Childern’s Urgent Care in Fairfield because Ephriam went to pick something up and smacked his face on the coffee table. He ended up getting 2 stiches in his lip. He was a little trooper about it. They tried to use a gel to numb his lip but he licked it off so they had to give him the shot to numb him. After he got all done he got to have a popcile to help the swelling. We got home and he was ready for dinner. Only soft foods till we go see the doctor on Friday and she checks him out. Saturday Chris did yard work while I got our clothes put back in the closet since we got the organizer installed. The kids were TONS of help. LOL. But at least most of our clothes are put away. Then we had our friends Ronnie and Rachel over for dinner. We didn’t cook anything exciting but we enjoyed their company. We are hoping that they will get to join us out at Shaw’s Pumpkin farm this fall when we are down there since they bought a house in that area. After their visit we all went to the grocery store together. I really enjoy having Chris along with me but sometimes I like to do it by myself to make things move along faster. On Sunday we went to the Reds game. It was HOT HOT HOT out but we had good time. We got free admission to the Reds Hall of Fame with our ticket purchase so went and saw the things that they had there. Ephriam kept pointing to the baseball players and saying “Baseball” I think that he really enjoyed himself at the game. I think that K.C. favorite part was sharing a snow cone with Ephriam. They were both dyed red before the end of it. The we had Chris mom, dad, and brother over for pizza. We were all really glad to be at home. It was a very nice visit with them. Hopefully now things will stay settled down but we will see.

Time for an Update

So did you think that I feel off the face of the earth? Well no I didn’t. I have just been busy with things at home and work. If you haven’t read the kids’ most recent post you should. Ephriam, Chris, and I have been to Ichthus and then the following weekend K.C. and I traveled to my parents and then to South Carolina for my good friend Mollie’s wedding and then back to TN and then home. Lots of time in the car for her and I but she was a great little trooper.

Then last week I worked for more then 48 hours. I came in on my day off to help them out and then I work my normal 3 12’s which happened to be in a row. Had a day off and was back to work another night off and back for 2 more. So between work and travel I am trying to keep up with things at home and give lots of love to my family. I think that I am doing a good job but I don’t know sometimes. Tonight Ephriam had a huge break down when I left for work. That is odd for him because he usually tells me bye and goes back to playing. I don’t know if he needs more sleep or if he just didn’t want me to go. I will be picking him up a little early from Grandpa’s today since I have my interview to get into nursing school this fall.(Long story hope to blog about that later in the day.) I will however be picking K.C. up late. They are going to be all confused but I am sure that both of them are going to be excited to see me.

This weekend is going to hopefully be a laid back one. I am hoping to get lots done around the house on Saturday. Sunday we are headed out to watch the Red’s play. There are 12 of us going and I am sure that it will be a blast. Hopefully it won’t wear me out too much and I will be able to get a few more things done when we get back from the game. Then we are back to our usual routine for the next 4 weeks, or so I hope.

We also got our new pastor at church. I am looking forward to seeing what all she has to say in her sermon this week or next.(We still need to decide if we are going to go to church Sunday morning or not). She did a great job on Sunday and it has lifted my spirits and got me a little bit more excited about going to church. I am hoping that she brings on good new changes to the church. So far she has got Chris and mine attention.

Well that is all I can think of for now but  it is almost 3 am. Hope to post more later. C’ya.
